Vet, ASAP. In the meantime keep him on clean, dry paper towels and you can make a paste of sugar and a little water to apply to the affected area to help reduce it.

I would also consider writing this guy off as a future breeder and keeping him as a pet only.

While waiting for an appointment here is what needs to be done http://ball-pythons.net/forums/showt...apsed-Hemipene!

The faster you act the better chances for your snake, remember that necrosis of the tissue is a possibility, and in some cases surgery may be required.

If you put where you are located maybe someone can suggest a vet, also check google for reptile vet listings, call around to places near you, some will know of vets to refer you to. No telling on cost, most places run an exotics fee, probably an emergency fee since you are going to want to get in asap and the actual cost of care, if it needs surgery or can just be carefully pushed back in. You could apply for a care credit card if money is a concern, they approve immediately.

Only the vets in your area can answer that, you need to call them, not one can tell you what YOUR vet will charged

Whatever the price is, if you don't hurry up and call the vet and ask it's going to cost more because his condition is going to get worse. So stop asking people across the country from you what it will cost when they can't possibly know and actually call in and ask.

Finding a vet should really be done before getting the animal, not when you somehow 'accidentally' put a solitary animal in with a female...
Sorry, but this whole thing seems kind of irresponsible and you're not showing much of an inclination to actually get medical help for a problem you caused.

We can give you literally no more information or advice at this point until he sees a vet.

I am very very concerned because of the reddened skin I can see between the scales at the end of the tail. That is a sign of possible sepsis and/or tissue death occurring and it's what I saw on my corn snake's tail when she threw a blood clot during surgery to remove a stuck egg. My big fear is that the swelling before the vent is cutting off the flow of blood either into or out of the tail.
