Shows are not always worth it.

Harlan price at shows is $20/$25 (same product than what PetFoodDirect ships)

PetfoodDirect $9.35 when on sale (and they have sales all the time) + Shipping.

I order a minimum of 5, that put my total at $61.98 Shipped or $12.40 per bag. Cheap and conveniently shipped to my door and also still cheaper than the price with Amazon Prime.

I do the same thing. 5 bags seems to be the magic number for me as shipping increases with each bag after this. Sometimes pet360.com has the better price but I think they are just 2 different fronts of the same company.

OP, see if you can find a local farm or feed store. There's one where I used to live that had ridiculously low prices on Mazuri and aspen. It wasn't uncommon to see a large bp or rat breeder hauling off a pallet full in a trailer. It is kind of hit or miss though... now I live near exponentially more feed stores and can't find aspen in a 200 mile radius.

Dang that's ridiculous! Maybe at larger shows prices go up. The repticon in Nashville is still very small but steadily growing, but most people sell bags of aspen for $5-7 tops because they just want to get rid of it lol and they do if I'm there haha

Would shows be a good place to buy hides?? I love reptile basics hides!

If you wanna step inside, pay admission at the door...

ProblemProblem with reptile basics hides, you don't get much of a price break even when ordering large quantities, so what I've usually seen is that those selling them, mark them up to a higher price. Which isn't entirely bad if you only need one or two, as you don't have to pay shipping then. But yes, they are often available at some expos.

Where are we going, and why am I in this handbasket?
