If you feed on a regular schedule your BP is cruising for food not because it wants to be out.
On feeding day the majority of my animals will cruise around their enclosure until they are fed.
Trying to handle your BP on feeding day can do two things, stress the animal enough that when you will attempt to it will refuse food or get you tagged.
Keep in mind BP do not want or care to be out of their enclosure or being handled, they tolerate being handled.
