If they are not ready they will not come out regardless of how early you cut, I have seen animals take as long as a week before emerging out of their eggs.

So long they are alive, no foul smell is coming out from those eggs you just need to be patient.

Loosing some animals is part of breeding them.
Doesn't matter how good you are at it.
Sometimes, it does feel devastating. You just have to deal with it, and work through the problem.

Grab some press and seal for the tub to increase the humidity, and just wait it out for now. Good luck.
Stay in peace and not pieces.

I should have said most cut after the first pip. But I've known some to let it go naturally, with only cutting if necessary. It's all breeder preference as you know very well.

I also regularly cut all my eggs ... typically day 54. Never had a problem or lost one to cutting. Will agree sometimes they take a while to emerge. And by cutting, you now have visibility to the animal and should be able to see movement. Like others have said, give them time. Good luck!

i do not agree that every breeder cuts their eggs. I know several who never do it. I even know breeders using maternal incubation instead of an incubator too.

Again, I mentioned in my last post that most do meaning the ones I know. Actually every breeder that I know personally does, but I am well aware of people not cutting unless completely necessary.

Did the eggs peel apart or did you cut them altogether? When eggs are stuck together and they peel apart really easy that is a good sign they are almost ready to pip.

If you see large yolk they are still absorbing. Give them time.

Its nerve racking to wait for them, but doing anything else will likely put them in danger. When there is a problem, it is usually obvious. Eggs go bad very quickly after they are no longer alive.
