That way you can adjust the heat source properly when you get one. I'd also check around for dimmer switches, that way you can get a heat lamp set up. Normally I suggest heating pads or heat tape, but because the room is a little cold, the lamp is probably a better way to go. Red bulbs are more commonly recommended for ball pythons than white bulbs. The hottest point in the cage should be ninety degrees, and the coolest should be seventy-five to eighty degrees.
