Improved BP Set Up

I used to have the probe on the exterior glass but it prevented the the pad from being flush against the glass and it wasn't heating the tank enough. The thermostat is off by a few degrees, but I did turn it down to 99 after I started using the heat lamp again.

Did you use any foil tape when attaching the RHP to the glass? That will help you to get the RHP to stick better with the probe sandwiched between the RHP and the glass.

Again, the problem with having the thermostat probe inside is that since you set it at 99F, that's how hot the glass is. Also, if the snake ever come in contact with the glass it will get burned. Plus, the probe can get easily moved inside the terrarium and you RHP will just keep heating up the glass.

Since you're using thr heat lamp, having the RHP isn't that important so I advise you to sandwich it between the RHP and glass or get rid of it all together.

I tried using the foil tape, it didn't do anything to keep the middle of the heating pad flush against the glass. The probe is suction cupped to the bottom of the tank. I also periodically check the temperature with an infrared thermometer.

The heat lamp dries the air out pretty fast even when I have it on pretty low. I have to mist twice a day even though I have moss scattered about. Plus it doesn't really do a good job of heating one side of the tank more than the other.
