The problem with slow acting poison is that if one crawls in the mouth of the snake it can cause problems..

Terro's active ingredient is boric acid/borax, which is much less of a problem for your snake than the permethrin products used for mites.

Also once that ant is loaded up with it, the ant goes straight back to the colony to feed it to the babies and queen.
