I try to find where they are entering the room and put one there.

BTW it's a slow-acting poison to give the ants time to carry it back to the nest and feed it to the queen so she dies. So, you may find dead ants on the floor if they survived long enough to attempt a return trip.

Thanks for the help. I just bought a 4pack similar product and put them around the room so hopefully by thr weekend its all clear.
