    sex ratio

Hey guys i'm new at the fórum, i'm working with Reptiles for 8 years, and breeding snakes for 4 years. Started this past year breeding ball pythons, and they Hatched on February 2015, 7 eggs, 7 hatchlings, and after sexing them i realize they are all males, what's the odds??? 57 days of incubation with 32oC. What do you guys think about that? I want females!

127 to 1 to be exact. You have the same odds to hit the sex you're looking for in a triple het to triple het recessive pairing. Don't you wish it happened then instead of now?

I'm wondering the same. We incubated at 89* for 60 days and we got 7 females out of 7 eggs. I kind of wanted a nice male to use.

    Re: sex ratio

Yes man i would prever that result from a triple het
And by the way, 2 of the 7 hatchlings have a deformity on their spine. Constant temperature all the incubation period, except when open the eggbox.with ah excelent Incubator, maybe when i opened the egg box weekly, the very cold air (it was winter here) allowed some deformation on their grown.
And they all feeding on livre mice! I'm getting trouble to get them on F/T

Opening the the egg tubs won't cause deformities are you sure you didn't have a spike in your temps? You really hit the odds making 7 males ouch. Last year I bred a queenbee to a normal and ended up with 6 eggs. All 6 were normals. Talk about hitting the odds lol Many years ago I bred a pastel to a normal girl. She gave me 11 eggs and 9 were pastels. Out of those 9 one was a female. Sometimes the odd gods just don't like you.

i mean, open the egg tub for removing the air can cause spike on temperature cause i have to open the incubator and the egg tub once a week. Inside all the incubator i had 32ºC and outside the incubator i had 15ºC! are you understant what im trying to say? that because i use no air holes, but some breeders just use one hole on each side and they do not open the egg tub for the entire incubation period.beside that, i have a thermometer wich give me the temperature maximum and minimum (flutuation) and i had no more than 1ºC once in a while for the entire 2 months. I use an reliable and expensive microclimate thermostat.
