Not gonna lie, when I have had to brain a f/t feeder I use a needle and poke into the brain and wipe some bits on the feeder's nose

I'd say you're better off just squeezing it's temples. Mainly because more brains will come out the nose and as horrible as it sounds, it's eyes also bulge with brains as well which is attractive to the snake.
