I get the same "whatchu feedin" response most of the time, no matter who I talk to in either of my local places. One (older) lady, when I first asked where the freezer was (our petsmart is HUUUUUGE) grinned and said, "Ah, looking for some icy micies?" She was so pleased with her nickname for f/t it was adorable and I've started referring to them that way too (even though I feed rats lol)

Lol I love it! Icy micies! It's usually an enjoyable experience buying food I get to talk about my pet, answer questions about it, pass on info. after they hear you're feeding a ball python many times it gets them asking questions if they have interest in them. "Are they really as docile as everyone says?" "is it really hard to keep the setup right?" Are questions I've received a lot in the past. Which usually prompts me going on and on lol.
