I'll agree with you, aside from when the snake has coiled the rat, but the rat has enough head and neck movement to sink some teeth in. That is how it happened with sapphire the times she was bitten. it wasn't neglect. Just this time around I wanted to eliminate that risk with loki. That's all. Sorry for my original confusion.
