Not to be too blunt, but why are you trying to breed if you're new to BPs? Doesn't sounds like a thought out plan to me and it sounds like your friend is just trying to unload a project he doesn't want on you.
0.1 Reg. BP Het. Albino (Faye),
1.0 Albino BP (Henry),
0.1 Pastave BP Het. Pied (Kira)
1.0 Pied BP (Sam)
1.0 Bumble Bee BP (Izzy)

There is absolutely nothing wrong with axanthics and you can't go wrong with a pair of axanthic or hets (I didn't mention before, but I would actually go for a female axanthic and a male het with some other gene present), but a good lesser or butter combo can also go pretty well.
The deal has changed now to all of the above snakes, plus a vanilla citrus het ghost female plus a proven pair of pieds :o same amount of money.

I'm planning on breeding in a year or two, not right away. I've bred carpets and corns, never BP's. Also you're partially right. He's unloading projects he's completed
