Congrats!! BELs are just the prettiest
Also russos are a co-dominant gene, and this is whats called the 'super' form of that, there's no such thing as het leucisitic in ball pythons Even if you breed a russo to say, a normal, that normal will never produce leucistics, it is purely in the russo gene (and other genes like mojave and lesser). Just a quick tip

Thank you! I am quite new to the genetics, so please excuse my lack of knowledge and correct herp-vocabulary.

As for his scales, he is perfectly normal with no scarring or scratches. His eyes are not bug eyed at all. The first images just accentuate his eyes since they were pretty close up. He was fed f/t from the breeder and is a strong feeder. I now see that I had nothing to worry about. He is doing great and was bought from an excellent breeder. I am very happy with him and the healthy condition he is in.

Here he is!

That's a great/unusual snake to be your first. I remember when my big boy was small like that. I was more ecstatic with his arrival than probably any other snake I've gotten. Your little guy is pretty!

No problem! I was very confused about co-dominant morphs when I first started too, so don't feel bad He is a beautiful example of a BEL and looks very healthy! Again, congrats!

I actually bought a female white diamond from Vin 3 weeks ago and her birthday is supposedly in November of 2014 (Vin wasn't sure on the exact day per se). I wonder if they're from the same clutch? Either way, beautiful bel!
