Re: Pool in tank?
She's still small, so if you plan on moving her into a 40 gal just make sure to add LOTS of plants and hides to help her feel secure. Such a big open area might make her feel vulnerable/stressed out

Yup, this. That's my only real concern. If you wanna clean it twice a day or whatever more power to ya
Gotta make it still...cozy? Not too much in the way of open spaces, maybe cover most of the sides.

Re: Pool in tank?
Her tank now has big bushes to hide in she loves, two hides on either side, tree branches to climb and vines hanging from the top to fill in gaps

I use in some of my enclosures fairly large water bowl (8" round) it might be a thought to use a extra large water bowl.
When I buy bowls I buy at least two per snake so they can be swapped easily and cleaned when you have time.
Personally I give fresh water every couple of days at that time wipe out the bowl with a clean sponge. Every second fresh water I replace the used bowl with a clean one and fully wash (soap and water) and disinfect (f10sc) the bowl. If it has been fouled I use F10scxd to wash the bowl and disinfect with F10sc. Once a year I wash every bowl with F919 as well.
