It really does not require much effort and is much easier than humidifiers. I will add that I have a mister bit it is actually for my live plants. It only goes off twice a day and that only because once is not an option.

So moss with a daily mist should work for you and your snake.
So you put sphagnum moss or something similar inside the hide with your snake? How long does it take the moss to dry out? Also, how do you mist? Just the glass and tops of the hides? Do you mist on top of the substrate? Is that a bad idea with something like aspen as far as mold?
