    Thanks for the input everyone; I haven't seen any significant changes in his eyes yet. His eyes are beautifully bright when I first got him. Like this (and it hasn't changed yet):



    My husband is telling me I'm worrying too much. I think I just might be, now that I've heard everyone's opinion.

    My above post was when I just got him. These two were taken just now. You can see how lighter he was that's what got me worried from the start, that's all lol.

    In my opinion it's just a shed coming on. In my experience an overall dulling of the skin happens long before you see anything in the eyes. I don't think you have anything to worry about.

    What's an accurate hygrometer I can get because I got a petco brand and Im not sure its correct.

    New Ball Python Owner..?

    Get an accurite from Walmart for $12. The kind with the probe.
    I too got my first snakes last week, on Saturday. They're cool aren't they . I had an exoterra hygrometer/ thermometer and it was way off. These acurites are good though

    Just got the therm/hygrometer. Also just had him watch tv w/ me for 10ish mins; and noticed his skin looking a wittle bit wrinkly and his usually white belly had a very pale light pink hue. Thanks for the help everyone.
