Newbie breeding question
I successfully had one of my two females lay a clutch last year. I bred one male to each of my two females. The one that laid was a smaller female. My larger female butter locked up the most but no clutch? Not sure what happened because I paired her the most trying for a BEL (butter to butter pastel). Now She is locked up as we speak for at least 8 hours. I guess I am wondering if they have locked up a bunch do I need to do anything else. They are lacking up without me making any temperature changes like night drops etc. Last year I had cooler temps throughout the winter because I didn't have them in a dedicated room. Do I need to provide anything for follicle development or was it just a fluke she locked up a bunch but didn't produce?

What is her age and weight?
Some females just do not give us eggs every year.

I'm not much of an expert at this point, but the way I understand it temperature drops aren't needed for successful breeding. Apparently some females just decide not to lay eggs from time to time and there isn't much we can do about it.

Why would something be a "fluke", if it happens all the time?

Newbie breeding question
Not so much a "fluke" but just odd the female that only locked up twice laid eggs (I didn't pair her very much only a few times), and the one that was locking every week didn't produce.
Btw she was 2000 grams last year and 3 years old.
