    They look very much like Caramel Albinos. Have you tried breeding one of the hets to a caramel to test for compatibility? If the pastels were unknown het gstripe it's very likely they had other unknowns as well, no? Not saying this to be a skeptic, just curious if you've tried to cross them out to Caramel yet.

    The babies are incredible by the way. Congrats!

    Thanks for your questions. Yes, I suppose they do look a little like Caramels. However, if you see them in person, the are visually very different. Unfortunately I do not have a Caramel that is big enough to breed yet. Here is a picture of a Monarch next to a Caramel....the Monarch being the darker one. Happy to answer any other questions you may have.

    Yes, the Monarch gene is recessive.....yeah, the dark color with the yellow/orange is really striking!
