    Sorry to get off topic a bit, but most of the rest of the world (not just the U.K.) knows the Natal multimammate mouse as Multies, they were also refered to that here in the US not so very long ago. I believe the name ASF short for African Soft-furred was mainly an invention by the American pet industry to make them sound cuter, fluffier and therefore more marketable.
