I take my little girl out almost every day with the exception of feeding time. She basically comes out on her own when I open the door. I'm always there for her and then we go exploring. Getting her back in is tough and I have a hard job closing the doors back up on her. Quite often when she's hanging around the door and giving me that "I want out" look, I can't refuse and take her out for more exploring time. My daughter had friends over last night and one girl held her (the first time ever holding a snake). She did ok with it but her other friend couldn't/wouldn't even look at the snake - totally terrified. This little ball has even been handled by my two year old grandson and she is quite calm with everybody. I could not imagine having a snake and not taking it out to socialize. I feel that is the point of having a pet. If I can't interact with it then it is no longer a pet and there really is no point in having one (I don't want to just look at it). I figure that if she didn't want to come out and socialize she would let me know and not come slithering out the door into my hands.
