I have a 3-year-old (according to previous owner, I've had him 1 year) male who, as of last week, was 869g and 3.5 feet long. Granted, he hasn't eaten for about a month and a half, but he has never been anywhere close to 2000g, let alone 1500!! He is healthy, has good sheds, my husbandry is spot on and he's a happy, active, curious boy. Should I be concerned at all?
As long as he isn't losing weight and in shaped well. No you don't need to be concerned
