bumblebee wont eat
About a week ago i got a baby bumblebee ball python. She was delivered to my house. When i opened the package she was freezing so i let her adjust to the temp in the room and she started to move around a little bit. She is verry small she is about 14 inches long and weiged 50 grams. ( today she weighs 55) so i let her be for a couple of days to adjust and i tried to feed her and she wouldint eat. I think she was more scared of it then it was of her it was a little bigger then a fuzzy should be. The temps are good and humidity is good so im not sure why she didint eat. I have 2 other ball pythons that i got when they were babys and they are great eaters have never missed a meal. Im not sure if she is stressed or not because she hides all day and pokes her head out sometimes. She also has been drinking alot of watter (not sure what thats about) if someone could please help out on what steps i should take like when should i offer her food again

Re: bumblebee wont eat
Some of them take longer to settle in to a new environment.
Are you offering her the same type and size of prey as the previous owner? I start most of mine on half grown mice but some breeders use rat pups etc.
I'd give her another 5 days or so before offering again - offering too often can just freak them out rather than help them start eating.

Im not sure what the breeder fed her i know that it was live mice (not sure the size) and that is what i offered her. Should i try something smaller? The fuzzy the store gave me was a little on the bigger side.

Re: bumblebee wont eat
Thank you. When i first got her she wasent hiding just sat by the water dish. Now that she is moving from cave to cave is good. I think a hopper may be to big for her she is small the fattest part of her body is only about the size of a quarter. But i can tell she definitely is getting adjusted.

55g can take a mouse hopper.
It is okay to use pine bedding for snakes.
It is okay to feed live food to snakes.
