    BP suddenly active?

Since last week my 3/4 month old BP has been way more active than he usually is. Nothing has really changed except it may have gotten a few degrees colder since it's almost winter.
He's eating normally, but now after spending two days digesting in his log, instead of continuing to sleep in there all the time like he usually does, he comes out and slithers around a lot.
Sometimes he sleeps on the log.

I used to not see him at all most days. It was hard to get him out of the log, but now he's out and about almost all the time.
    Anyone know why?

It may just be a snake being a snake or you could have a issue with the cage.

What heat sources are you using? How are they controlled?
    What temps are you providing?

Did you look inside the log and see if he turned it into a bathroom? Most don't like when there hide is messy.

I have an UTH for hotspot and it's usually 85-88 degrees
Then I have a 50watt lamp for ambient temp (also makes the top of the log a nice hot spot too I think).
I keep both on morning and night (infrared bulb for night time).

UTH is controlled by thermostat set at 93 and the bulb I change every morning and night.

Yep, it's clean. I cleaned his tank this weekend too and he's still the same, slithering around.

Well that all sounds good. As long as your ambient temps are not dropping to low your snake is probably just being a snake and making you worry about nothing.

It may be that it has taken a liking to its new home and now feels safe to move about. Most all my snakes will stroll at some point each day or night.

I have one that will not go in his hide at all. He's always chillin at the front of the tub.

I'm just worried because I've had him for a few months now and he's always been one to hide in his log all day. O:
