1. Remove snake
2. remove decorations. Check all decorations for poop/pee. Clean where needed.
3. Using a plastic glove, put all substrate into a plastic grocery bag. (Or pick up the tank and dump it all into a trashcan. My tank is too big to do this)
4. spot clean any places where substrate has been stuck to glass by pee/water.
5. spray and wipe down entire tank with plain warm water.
6. put fresh new substrate/decorations/thermometer probes/exc….
7. Return snake to its home.
This is how i do it, but I only have one snake. There might be a more efficient way with tub systems, or multiple snakes.
Im just throwing around my opinions. Im trying to give as much help as I've received on this website
So far what I do is:
-remove all decor, put in a bin and let everything soak in hot tap water.
-discard all coco husk and replace with 2 bricks, freshly moistened. I leave it in tank with lamps on full until the top of the substrate feels dry to the touch. If it's too damp I'll add in some dry coco husk. While letting it dry I rinse and dry off the decor, then
-put the decor back in and check temp of glass above UTH
-hold BP at the door of the enclosure so he can check it out and then wait for him to crawl in.
