Shedding Question
How long can a snake go before it decides it wants to shed?
Breda my Ball Python has been eating great for me and now I believe she's going into shed. And around the 9/2/14 and 9/9/14 I've noticed her chilling out in her water-bowl at random times in the day and I think I'm seeing a little pinkness in the belly but has not gotten blue in the eyes.
I was also told by an Petco employee that some of their BPs had taken 3 months to decide to shed. I kind of like the employees at our Petco as they always come to me to see how Breda is doing and I tell them about her progress. x3
I also asked a friend of mine in the UK had a snake that took a year to finally shed for the first time.
I'm not worried about her I just like to get multiple opinions.

Happy reading!
FWIW, hanging out in the water bowl could be a sign of other things. Have you checked her out to see if she's carrying any mites? Also, what temperature do you keep her at?

I have check her for mites and have not seen anything, I do have mite-off just in case. And her temps are 90 in her hotspot, 83 for her ambient, and the cool side is 79.

Sounds like your husbandry is in line then. Just make sure her humidity is where it needs to be and you'll be rewarded with a nice, full body shed.

Yeah her humidity is at 65% at the moment, not worried about a bad shed really as my Blood recently had a nice full body shed.
