Mojave spider female to butter male?
So I'm currently looking for a sub adult female mojave for future breeding plans to a butter male. My goal is a blue eyes lucy. I know that female Mojave usually range about 250. Which I'm OK with. But I have found a female Mojave spider for 200 at 700g. I know that this opens me up to the possibility for more types but it also lessens my chances for a bel. Like, a lot. What would you recommend? Although I know multi genes are always the best option.... I'd love to add her to my collection and get another Mojave just for the bel project but funds don't really allow.... what are your suggestions? And also... is there such a thing as As a butter Mojave spider? I'm using the genetic wizard and I know sometimes it combines things but doesn't give the morph names for all

Someone else correct me if I'm wrong, but your BEL chances would be the same, but some BEL would have the spider gene. These spider BEL's should still look like normal BEL's though.

If the Mojo Spider is healthy, I'd say definitely go for it. But make sure it's a female because that's a steal of a price. I agree with you that if the price is the same, I'd go for the multi-gene animal versus the single gene. Spider BEL will look the same as regular BEL's except they may have a head hobble. If you're dead set on trying to see if the BEL's carry Spider, get a backlight and you should see the pattern very clearly.
As far as percentages go for creating a BEL, it's the same as just a Mojo and Lesser pairing, except half of them should carry the Spider gene.

12.5% Lesser Mojave Spider
12.5% Lesser Mojave
Those two animals should look the same, the BEL visually overpowers the effects of the spider, so if the goal is to produce a blue eyed leucistic animal you would still have a 25% chance to produce one, which is the same as a Lesser x Mojave pairing. Only difference is the BEL would have a 50% chance of carrying the spider gene in addition to being a BEL. If you did hatch a spider BEL you may see some head wobble or typical spider behavior, but your animal should still be what you are trying to hatch from a visual standpoint.
