Re: Best reptile record keeping software and why?

I use Herperpro w/goMobile and i have to say it is absolutely the best i have ever seen, HerperPRO has been around for a long time and they are always evolving, they are currently working on a new update that is supposed to be awesome! whenever i have found a problem i just let them know and the support team gets the fix out right away or direct me if i am just doing something wrong but the features cannot be beaten by any other software out there and I do believe i tried them all lol.

I would love to try something else and might do the iherp thing because if I have learned one thing it's that the grass is always greener on the other side, until you get there. For now I too use just a simple notebook. I will probably upgrade to some sort of folder system eventually. I'm pretty hands on so I don't have a "feeding day" but that time is getting close. I'll whip out my Ball Python folder and I can quickly see who needs to eat. I know some might think shedding logs are excessive but I keep those records too. One day I would like to include more info but for now I just annotate any strange behavior or issues that I think is going on in the notebook. When I start selling snakes I want to have as much information to pass on as I can, not just general information but specifics for the animal as well. I don't do it all the time but seeing as how easy a notebook is to write things in I also include when I handle them and for how long. They are my pets right now so I have to make sure they each get their exersize lol

Reptile Scan, why because I can update the info on my laptop but the best part is to scan the QR code to update any significant info about a specific animal.

I second this. When I only had 4 animals, I used an Excel file. When I added quite a bit more last month, I started using Reptile Scan. It's very easy to use and it's pretty cool having QR codes on my tub tags to scan and update everything at the push of a button.
