    These babies are TINY!!

Two of the (seven total) babies from my current clutch are hatched out now, and they are soooo little! I've got one black pastel weighing in at 40g, and a normal who's a whopping 35g. I'm actually not surprised they came out so small, as mom was barely big enough to breed @ right around 1500g. She's over 5 years old, but has always been a problem feeder, so I was shocked when ONE lock produced 7 eggs.

Here they are, and sorry about the lousy pics - my laptop is dead, so I have no way to upload from my real camera (thus have to use my phone). They're taken both with & without flash, and the black pastel looks much darker with the flash ones than he does in person.

(and I'm an average-sized woman, so my hands aren't very big!)

When I saw you thread yesterday showing the possible BEL I thought, either you have enormous hands or those are really small eggs. Now I see. They are very cute. Congrats and still looking forward to seeing the BEL.

Oh, that wasn't me! I just commented on that thread, and only wish I had BELs coming... so that member must also have tiny eggs (or big hands).

Aww, that's even tinier! Smallest baby I've had ever was about 32g, and she came from a "booby egg."

Btw, three more have emerged now - one black pastel, and two normals (all around the same size). So I'm just waiting on the other two, which appear to be one of each. Grand total is three black pastels and four normals, so the odds weren't that bad after all! The b.p. babies are looking nice, in fact much prettier than their daddy.

    And a cute little normal:

My apologies. It was Solarsoldier's thread, http://ball-pythons.net/forums/showt...My-little-bels
the little ones are so adorable. The smallest we have had so far was 48 grams which is huge by comparison to yours. Best of luck with them and thanks for sharing.

Hehe, no problem - it's easy to get members mixed up on here!

All but one of the babies are out now... 4 normals & 2 black pastels, with the late bloomer looking to be another black pastel. I'm not surprised that one egg is taking longer, since it was the only one not attached to anyone else! So I guess he wasn't getting as much heat? Anyway, they are all tiny but healthy.
