Re: Finally did it!
Just make sure it has good ventilation so your baby can breathe and lock that thing tight. First thing mine did was try to escape

Yeah, I was planning on taking one side out and putting a screen over that with a few screen locks. I'm the only one in the house who actually likes snakes so I gotta make sure he can't get out!

May I ask how you kept the humidity up? I'm having such problems with mine at the moment, during the day it's at 30% and at night its' at 40%. It's starting to irritate me because I can't sit there misting the tank the whole day I have to go to work.

Re: Finally did it!
I bought a repti fogger and I taped it to the tip of my 36x18x18 and put it on a timer with two CHE's on the top (100&60W) I also used foil (shiny side down) to cover an appropriate portion that keeps the right heat and humidity and duct tape that down to the lid.

Looked like this, but since I cut back the foil and duct tape to only cover half. The repti fogger was the perfect solution.

Congrats, i too had the same problem when i first got my bp. I did the foil method on top and then got a bigger water bowl to have a larger surface area of water to create more evaporation. My heat lamp was on the side of the tank with the water bowl in the middle. I would adjust the water bowl towards or away from the heat lamp to adjust the humidity.

Looks good! Congrats.
If later on you're looking for a bigger enclosure, definitely check out PVC terrariums. Keeping humidity and heat in them is cake. Makes keeping a snake a lot easier. All you need is a RHP (radient heat panel), for ambient heat, heat tape for a hot spot and a thermostat to control both items.

Could you send me a link to a few good PVC terrariums? Idk that I would need a bigger one ever really as this one is 36x18x18 (which supposedly would hold a 54" snake right?), but I'd definitely look into one for when I get another snake haha
