Re: Can a Pastel BP lay a clutch almost 4 months after last breeding?

You said that you were sure she was under weight. Just curious what her weight was when you bred her and why you introduced a male if you knew she was under weight? Good luck with the incubation.

I initially didn't do my research, and when she seemingly failed to ovulate, I gave up when I weighed her. Decided to try the next season...

OK I see. Still would like to know her weight. Have you attempted to feed her since she laid? If so what were the results? Hopefully you can get her back up to a healthy weight for next season. Best of luck to you with her and the egg.

I don't have my own personal scale but she has not eaten yet. I have tried to feed her once a day but she doesn't have any interest

don't keep trying to feed her every day. Have you washed her and everything in her enclosure to get the eggs smell away?

I haven't! I wasn't sure if washing her would be too traumatic

Seeing as this was all very unexpected, I didn't have time for experimenting with my incubator and finding a steady temp... My incubator will fluctuate anywhere from 84 to 93. I am changing my heating method, but I am worried I may have already done damage. Help!

That much fluctuation is going to cause damage, You would have been better off to maternally incubate them.

I dont get how its fluctuation 9+- that is ALOT of fluctuation.

84 Far to cold... 93 too hot...

Try your best to get 88.5+/-
