It would take one bag from the petstore to barely cover the floor in my bp enclosure so i spot cleaned as much as possible to try and save on cost. With the amount from tractor supply I can still spot clean and also do a complete substrate change more often now and still save money.

Yes there's a ton in those tractor supply bags, they're very compact.

I was hoping that amazon would of had some good deals but i did not see any. I think i missed a sale on the tractor supply by a day. It was pricing at just under $7 via their website but I believe the day i got it the sale was over. However, even at the normal price it is still a awesome price for 4 cubic yards a bag.

    I buy aspen here: http://www.petfooddirect.com/product...ressed-bedding

Typically, they offer free shipping with >$50 orders, so I just load up on it and buy ~22 cubic feet for $50-55

    Re: Aspen in bulk?

Thanks for all the tips! I found a bag of 4 cubic feet on sale at the pet store for eight bucks, but if I need to stock up and can't find that price again, I know where to go!
