I have been working on it in my spare time for 4 weeks. I have about 30 hours in it I would guess. I'm no carpenter! If I can do it, ANYONE can!!

Nice project idea, which i'm going to copy somewhat and do a double viv for my snakes. I'm wondering how do you access to your snake? From sides where you have the window locking "doors".

What about dimensions of everything? How did you mount heating? Under one wooden plate? How does that function, and what did you use to seal insides for any kind of spillage of water or for disinfection purposes? I guess it would be a murder to clean it all out?

Would acrylic coating over the wood be good enough for that sort of things?

Beside that great work seriously this got me inspired to do something like that instead of buying glass vivs which are let's be honest ... plain and pain in the something to maintain.

Yeah getting cut wood in supply stores is no brainiac using a bit of glue and power tools shouldn't be that hard. So yeah i'm going to build something like this for my babys

And i somewhat like your approach from sides if i understand pictures correctly
