Dry scales on head? Humidity is at 50%

So I gave a sneak peek in the title as to the meat of the post/question. I noticed a dry patch on my axanthic's head a couple weeks ago after his last shed, but since then it has started to become wrinkled and even flaking off in tiny pieces. Humidity is at 50% or so my Flukers gauge tells me, so I am hoping that's not what is effecting him. His shed seemed perfect in that every scale was removed and I was sure to inspect every piece of him accordingly. I thought at first the white patch was a color change, but now I am fearing dry skin or other health issues.

There is never feces or urine in any of my tubs for more than an hour without me knowing about it. I am really adamant about checking for soiled bedding. I always remove the soiled bedding and disinfect the area, so if it's beginning signs of scale rot- I'd be appalled. I use Good Choice kiln-dried aspen bark chips from Petsmart; several people have told me aspen dries out the animal but then other people tell me aspen is completely acceptable. I am sort of at odds with what to think on that one. I'd accept any comments on it

To continue, his scales tonight on his head looked like the picture below. I have been putting anti-bacterial ointment on the affected area for the past few days, once around noon and once at night before I crash. There is no other effected area on his body whatsoever. Oh and I should mention, I raise the humidity during a shed to 65% give or take a few percents to aid the process. Thanks for reading.

I heard using that kind of ointment is bad for them and could make it worse.. I'll let others chime in that know a little bit more about it.

Oh gosh, I really hope I didn't make it worse. I'll look further into it. It's Polysporin or Bacitracin Zinc, first aid antibiotic ointment.

EDIT: Just checked a couple sites and they are all saying triple antibiotic or neosporin is good for superficial wounds or the like. I am not sure what is on his head but I just sort of went straight to treating it like it were one. Maybe I shouldn't have Links for those sites:

Yeah I went to go check myself and saw similar results as long as the ointment doesn't have "pain relief" additives .

Oh that's good to know about the pain relief additive ointment. Thank you! I will keep that in mind and do a check through in my medicine cabinet.

Just spray him 1-2times a day, no need for any creams, if its just a dry spot.... It could just be old scales, aswell his eyes dont look dimpled or deflated.
