I think plastic enclosures will probably last longer, and they aren't that bad looking either. I have a melamine floor in my wooden enclosure that I am thinking of covering with some linoleum, just to make sure there is no wood being soaked by water/urine. I use newspaper which seems to be working so far.

I realize newspaper is free,but Kraft indented paper works really well and comes in different rolls,including a 3ft wide to fit the vision 632's . I put down 2 layers and it's very absorbent.
