:X i see no spider sadly. Spider tends to be very visual in a morph like this. I would try and get your money back while you can. You do have a awsome looking banana though. But $4000 is way too much for him. There are many big breeders on here (like a few who chimed in) and whos opinion I would trust 100%.

    What you've accomplished.

Considering I will get my money back when and if it doesn't breed any spiders, none of you need to worry about the money spent. Thanks for the concerns though on it. I am pretty good friends with the person who originally bred the animal. The signed agreement- legally signed- is that it is spider. I literally do not care what any of you think. I am glad you are trying to help. I appreciated the mite advice because it was wanted, it was asked for- it was appreciated. I really, really mean that. So thank you.

This genetic advice was specifically asked to be avoided. I didn't want to get into it. It was rude. I am emotionally explosive as is with the current situation. I don't need random people from the internet telling what they think I do and don't have in my ball python genes. When I specifically wished to avoid it. This was really depressing. I am actually a little disgusted. The saddest thing is that you all right, he DOESN'T look like a spider. I chose him because I wanted to place Faith in something that was a little different. He didn't look like a normal banana, but he didn't look like a banana spider either. I wanted to see how he would turn out so we labeled him as the closest- easiest thing we could- banana spider. The fact the entire python community was so insulted by one little banana being called a banana spider is appalling to me or perhaps it was my hope in him to be a spider? His father was a banana spider, so I decided, what the Hell, lets give this a chance. And literally no one to this day has believed in me since I bought him and I am tired of it.

I signed an agreement. I made a choice. It was mine. Not yours. Stay out of it. In any case it is done. I love my python, I don't want my money back, because I still believe it him. I am amazed you all didn't get that point like 5 comments ago- when I said "no one is talking me out of it".

Yet, people still tried. Great. Literally all you have done is beat me down about something I was a little bit insecure about already but wanted to try. Thanks. I could give him back whenever I wanted, but I am not giving him back because of you all. Not because of this.

Well, then you might not want to post on the internet. It's a free world. People can post what they want. People are bringing up the genetics, because you are calling it something it is not. The reason it doesn't look spider is because it's not. Spider is a pattern. Spider isn't recessive. Spider isn't something that hides in a snake. Spider Is very much visible.

If nothing ever changed, there would be no butterflies.

Nerd produced this spider. He looks like mine. What is the difference?

EDIT: Obviously this is MY banana and the cinnamon is Nerds. But they both have "normal" head patterns. But if nerd can produce a spider like that, maybe their is some hope for mine. So again. Leave my animal alone.

The difference is that snake has cinnamon in it.

So, at this point you want to discuss your snake's genetics but any responses are "rude"?

    Re: Omg mites burn everything

To Dave: No, I never wanted to discuss them to begin with. I posted that as a last attempt to defend myself or my animal against literally everyone saying he isn't a spider. This forum isn't the first to say he isn't. Your responses in particular weren't rude. I should have quoted the ones in particular I didn't like or addressed specific people but I am not a frequent forum person. Sorry it was generalized. You were actually pretty helpful with everything. And I did enjoy your pictures. Those were some beautiful bananas- both spider and normal, light and dark. I wouldn't mind discussing genetics with you because you weren't rude. But other people were.

That's why I openly didn't want to discuss them to begin with, because I knew before this topic even began, people would be critical as all else on it and I didn't want to deal with it.
Honestly his genetics are confusing to me, because he has a normal head pattern, but a webbed seeming dorsal, a very light coloration, dots instead of "alien heads"- though he does have quite a few, but he doesn't have a very visible white underbelly (almost calico seeming) spider trait. So it's rough trying to decide on him. But again I risked it. He didn't look normal to me, so I took my chances. I really respect your voice on this post and I apologize for any disrespect I caused to you personally. I mostly look at this forum through my phone and it is hard sorting out replies and who said what- blah, blah, blah. In any case, thank you for your position. I probably won't go apologizing or sorting through any other people I publicly offended because again this is hard to do on my crap phone (It won't let me download the app for some reason O.o), but I definitely think you deserved an apology.
Best of wishes on those bananas.
