Time Dilation is real, it is so real that all clocks if they are precise enough can measure it, and GPS could not possibly work without it. If you disagree, send me a PM.
The 4 philosophically most important aspects of modern science are: Evolutionary theory, Cosmology, Quantum mechanics, and Einsteins theory of general relativity. Understand these to get a grip of reality.

Re: Why do we name our snakes?
I don't know why not. There are lots of pets that people own that don't come to them when their name is called.

Why not? It's not like it does any harm to name them. If it makes you happy and/or seems right to you, name them. If not, don't. No big deal one way or the other, as long as you're happy and the snakes are happy.
Mountain bikes are for slow people, and reptiles are far better pets than cats & dogs!

That's what I'm saying idk why it would be a big deal if you named your snakes or not. I don't know why but Why not?

I name all of the ones I keep in my collection (65+ and counting). I think for me, a small time breeder, a name is nicer than an ID number. I personally like when I get a clutch card for a snake I'm getting from another breeder and it has parent names on it. It makes me think that they take better care of they're animals. At least that's what I hope is the case. I also hope that that's what people feel about the animals they get from me.
