In the Pewter Mystic, the Mystic tends to fade out the dorsal pattern and clean up the silver/gray color. Pastel Cinnamons (AKA Cinnamon Pewters or just Pewters) are known for having a yellow cast to them that turns brown as they mature. The Mystic gene stops this in the Pewter Mystic. I'm not sure how it would affect a Black Pewter (which are made by combining the Pastel gene with the Black Pastel gene), since Black Pewters don't have that yellow cast that turns brown as they mature.
By itself, the Mystic gene looks similar, but less colorful, to the Mojave gene. Both Mystic and Mojave are part of the Blue Eyed Leucistic complex (BEL).
The Mystic line that I'm working with tends to be darker and have fewer blushings to it, which I think helps it combine nicely with the Cinnamon gene (I like the dark, bold look to the Cinnamon Mystic, plus the Mystic gene distorts the alien heads nicely in that combination).
