Run a Ranco trust me! Very cheap insurance when the heater does malfunction. Just make sure you get a cheap heater, not a digital one. Must have either no t-stat, or an analog rheostat.Originally Posted by Alay13
Yes i am using 3' heat tape, its a cb70 animal plastics rack. The hotspots inside the tubs are just fine, just the room stays on the cooler side so the ambient temps are in the lower 70s. If the ranco isn't necessary i have no problem just running a heater in the room. i just don't want to overheat my snakes if the heater malfunctions or any thing.. ya know
