He's very pretty, hopefully he settles down for you. I agree that he doesn't look overfed, just well fed.

Re: This Little Guy Has Landed In My Lap...
Thank you everybody. =] He's definitely a cutey!
And also, thank you for the clarifications on what a truly overweight little guy will look like. He's just a good eater then!
So far he seems to be settling in well - he spent a little while exploring his tank, and then settled into the hide on his warm side. He watched me for a little bit yesterday from his hide (stuck his head out and followed me around the room for a bit) but he eventually fully pulled into his hide, and I haven't seen him peek out since. He may or may not have explored during the night, but so far this morning I haven't seen him. Hopefully, as they say, a hiding ball is a happy ball! In a few hours I'll check the tank for any spot cleaning that needs to be done, and I'll change out his water. We'll see how he is with my hand in the tank.

Re: This Little Guy Has Landed In My Lap...
Update: Spot Cleaned his tank this afternoon (he already peed, so I got rid of the urates and added some fresh substrate). He showed no aggression. Didn't hiss at me, defensive strike, or anything. He did poke his head out in curiosity to see what I was doing, but that was the extent of it. He did curl up into a ball when I removed his water dish (it's attached to his hide) but there was no aggression again. He does look super cute though!

He is certainly not over fed. Glad he's settling in.

Update: After a week of settling in, I finally took the little guy out for some handling. He's still very shy and tense, but no hissing or tagging as of yet. Hopefully this continues!

I want a good morph male and would like to breed and get a good quality clutch and keep one of those.

It depends on what kind of snakes you like =] I'm a fan of Blue Eyed Lucys so I'll be breeding my two Mojaves in a few years. Mystic Potions are also amazing looking snakes, so if you were to breed her to a Mystic you would get those. http://www.worldofballpythons.com/morphs/mystic-potion/ Personally, I like a little Mojave in everything. It does some incredible things to the appearances of so many morphs! =] This is super true when you start getting into three and four gene animals. =] Look around and see what combos you like then start building from there!
