    Its not a double recessive, its an allelic compound heterozygous. One copy of two different genes that sit on the same locus so they act like a homozygous.

    Candys are more valuable because they have two copies of a fairly new and rare gene, a candino has one copy of a rare gene and one copy of a very common gene. Candinos are also significantly less valuable for breeding for combos or starting a candy project fron scratch. When you breed a candino all your offspring will be either het for candy OR het for albino. So you have to keep everything and prove it out, or guess which ones are carrying the more valuable candy gene.
