I agree with the "people..." comment. I think many times people get involved with the wrong person, then it is too hard to make things work. That said, I've only been married for 2 years (to someone that I consider a great match to me personality-wise) and I still have my moments where I get annoyed, etc. People are flawed so our relationships are flawed to some degree or another. All that said, I hate it when people lump all women or men in the same grouping... I happen to be female, yet don't get "emotional" and tend to like more male / geeky things and my husband is totally opposite the stereotypical (immature, inconsiderate, and sports-obsessed) version of men portrayed in culture at present... I guess it's good to be weird?
p.s.
I know that most guys are not the stereotype I listed, that was just for reference and to note what you see portrayed on TV, in movies, etc. To be fair, women are portrayed as illogical, vapid, whorish, catty, manipulative, and spending-crazy in the same TV / movies.
