    I put down shop towels, then half inch aspen shavings on top.

    PROS:
    Easy to see if it's soiled
    Easy to change
    No dust
    No chance of ingestion during feeding
    Can buy it pre-cut to your tub size

    CONS:
    Not pretty enough for some keepers
    Can't be used to hold humidity
