The females have issues that do not allow them to be bred, thus making them very affordable, even combos, for such cool looking snakes. The single gene is a lighter and cleaner snake, which looks good on it's own, but the combos can be crazy.

I agree though if it is for a pet get either a pied male, an albino male or a dessert combo female. You could also wait a year and get a banana male. They will be prime pet snakes before too long as they are beautiful and will be over-produced to the point that they become very cheap.
