I cheated on my colubrids with BPs and can't wait to get a carpet either. I handled a couple carpets, one being very young. She bit me 6 times and went after my face 2ice. I wanted to take her home but didn't have the money at the time. It was love at first bite.

Our original plan was to breed BPs because my 9 yr old daughter has become very interested in genetics and morphs. Not really for profit, just fun and making different colored snakes
now it seems like we can't stop buying all kinds of different animals.
reptile hoarders? May be an idea for a tv show...

We just bought our first BP at Christmas (firefly male). Since then my daughter bought a fire female, my wife bought a bearded dragon, and now the rainbow boa. We have plans to breed our two bps when they mature so it will still be awhile. My daughter is really hoping for a black eyed Lucy.
we have talked about getting a pied, cinnamon butter, and an adult pair so we can speed up the breeding. Who knows what next? Actually, about to order a sugar glider for my wife. She fell in love with them at repticon. I know, too many pets, lol
