    Finally had the escape scare...

We'll, I've had my snakes for 2 years and I knew it's bound to happen and it finally did! Last night things were already off to a weird start because Tank, my normal ball python, was cruising his tank more then usual. This morning I woke up, turned on his light, but couldn't see him in his hides. I didn't think much of it because he can easily hid in there when I first got him being an underfed rescue...but I didn't think that he's put on 200+ grams and you can always see him in there! My mom for some odd reason heads upstairs while I'm at my grandparents and doesn't see him. She searched my room and found him curled up by my wooden snake (maybe he was just lonely ). He's not back in his tank and warming up!

    Here's the little butt...

This is one of my fears as a new owner! Fortunately I have a small flat and the tank seems to be very secure! Glad you found him and he was safe!

The idea of that scares me so much! Our newest little guy is only 3 months old and cant do much damage yet, but our bigger guy is almost 4 ft and we have also 2 curious little cats that want to play with everything and everyone... i have this image in my head of coming home to dead fur babies cause "curiosity killed the cat"

Thankfully "the cat came back the very next day. Thought he was a goner"

Funny how they spend so much time trying to escape, then go about 6 feet and stop.
Where are we going, and why am I in this handbasket?

Never argue with idiots. They will drag you down to their level and beat you with their experience.

Awesome that you found him! Same thing here, super cold. Thank goodness my snakes have a loving (and forgiving) Snake Grandmother! Haha
