Is this enough room for air or am I covering too much?

Thanks for the idea. I've wanted to get some plexiglass for it but I don't know how exactly to go about it. Just measure the area of the top and go into a store and ask? I think I read Home Depot somewhere but not positive.

iv always had some laying around from work iv never purchased it but i know its pricey, also when your cutting the hole out for the light it cracks real easy under stress... there may be a better material to use
