Rats - Colors and Coat Markings

Hi,

I am new to the forums and loving this thread. Has anyone had any long haired rats turn up in their litters?


We have merles, calico (tortishell), and are working on Black Eyed Whites right now. Here is a pic of a merle:

Where did you get calico? Do you have pics? So far all calico appearing rats in the pet trade and scientific literature, have turned out to be chimeras. The closest thing, mottled, is very rare. I know of only 4 people who ever had it, and of them, only 1 still does AFAIK.
