There is a certain resemblance, but two completely independent mutant genes can produce identical appearances. Best to breed her to a normal first and see what happens then. See post #4 in this thread.

She looks kinda dark. Is she getting close to shedding? Beautiful snake.

    My little Dinker

Very nice dinker project. I would suggest either a black pastel or a yellow belly. Yellow belly always seems to make genes better and accentuate them. Good luck to you.

    She actually, just shed.

Sorry I haven't responded since the original post – I had to deal with some family issues.
Thanks to everyone for all the positive comments.
I have a couple years before she’s ready to breed so I’ll defiantly consider all the suggestions. Even if she isn’t genetic, she’s a beautiful animal.
I am also thinking about breeding her to a pastel or yellowbelly. This type of cross would be like breeding her to a normal but also give me another morph to work into the line - providing it proves out to be genetic.
She doesn’t appear to have any yellow in her. I know the brown alien heads should have yellow, but I’m not seeing it. So I’m thinking maybe I should breed her to a Lavender or Albino. Hopefully I’ll have a male Lavender by the time she is ready to breed.
There’s lots of time to think about this.

I saw the thread title and was thinking 'oh dinker, sure ok' and then I saw the pic, whoa!

I agree with the x normal pairing with male offspring paired back to mom. You should get a pretty clear answer on the genetic component without muddying the waters with extra genes. Plus if it does prove genetic, and you then hit some kind of awesome super, it will help solidify the value of your cool new gene.

what i tried to say on page one is:

this one is not wild caught. definitively not. and if this would be wild caught, it would be a shame.

i know everyone wants nice balls, nice pythons. but driving down the wild population is not the way to go. just saying. not that i believe this is a wild caught, it is not. this one has never seen the wild, and i demand evidence to the contrary: show me how this is not a captive hatched ball python.

just stop calling it wild caught. okay??
The Big Bang almost certainly (beyond reasonable doubt) happened 13.7 billion years ago. If you disagree, send me a PM.
Evolution is a fact, evolutionary theory explains why it happens and provides four different lines of evidence that coalesce to show that evolution is a fact. If you disagree, send me a PM.
One third of the global economy relies on technology that is based on quantum mechanics, especially quantum electrodynamics (electron-photon or electron-electron interactions). If you disagree, send me a PM.
Time Dilation is real, it is so real that all clocks if they are precise enough can measure it, and GPS could not possibly work without it.

The 4 philosophically most important aspects of modern science are: Evolutionary theory, Cosmology, Quantum mechanics, and Einsteins theory of general relativity. Understand these to get a grip of reality.

theres a lot of snakes that get shipped here from africa to big breeders so they can try and prove out new lines now as far as someone actually catching it in the wild as a hacthling (witch if they have kids mining for dimonds .. i dont see it so far feteched that they have people that go hunting for hatchlings and whatever else they can find to make a buck on ) or they just have a bunch of wild caught snakes that they breed .. its all the same

by the way andy she looks nice id put her with a norm and see what comes back ..

Show me your proof that there has been any impact on wild populations of BPs? You're making a lot of assumptions in your post without any supporting data. You may also want to reconsider your tone, as making "demands" is not generally conducive to polite discourse, which is something I appreciate participating in on this forum (compared to the shennanigans that seem to repeatedly play out on some of the other forums).
