11 degrees F here in mid-Maryland. It was a high of 12 F, but today was the day I was planning to go out and get a new car (I've been waiting almost 2 years for this moment) so I sucked it up and put on a sweater and 2 coats. I'm a wuss when it comes to cold temperatures though. under 70 degrees and I start shivering, haha.
I got my car though.

Also in Maryland. It was 9 degrees and windy when I tried to start my car today at 1pm. Had to be jump started by maintenance guys working in my apartment building but I still didn't make my doctor's appointment. :/
I seem to have forgotten to buy a winter coat and I really only have a very large sweater coat, so I wore that with a fleece jacket and a sweater underneath. Then I had sweatpants, knee socks and leg warmers. I hate layers, but I wasn't cold. My car obviously thought differently.

You are like 15 minutes away from me! I used to live in Ellicott City too, I was right up the road from Main Street.
My dad made fun of me because every time we went outside I shivered so bad. I didn't realize it was going to be this cold while I was staying at my bf's house, so all I brought for pants were leggings!!

Antarctica has an actual continent under the ice cap so there's a lot more geographically fixed stuff to study (sub glacial lakes, volcanism, meteorite collecting etc.), but since the arctic is floating ice there aren't any permanent stations that I'm aware of. Probably the closest are Nome, AK or Archangelsk, RU which hit 32 and 28 respectively today. So you still win, or lose, still not sure which .

6 degrees and -15 degree windchill in Massachusetts. Reptile room had to be turned up a bit today since the cold makes this house get a draft.

It's been in the 70's over here
Our weather has been perfect, I can't believe it's so cold everywhere else.

I can't really complain too much about the weather in Michigan right now. We get some days like this every winter. These weren't even record lows or anything. I think we should all move to San Diego or Phoenix!!
